Fitness: Doing yoga when it is Winter

Exercising in the winter can be a bit daunting. Find out the precautions to be taken while doing yoga at such a time.

Doing yoga on a daily basis is not only a healthy habit but also a habit that brings more pleasure. It is important to continue yoga even in the cold of winter because the body can then protect itself from seasonal health problems. According to Ayurveda, the natural energy of the body is very effective in winter. Not only that, but Digestive Fire (also known as "Agni" in Ayurveda) is also balanced and powerful. This allows the body to absorb nutrients and maintain warmth throughout the season. Balance is possible if yoga practice also changes as the season changes. In fact, even the body wants and invites such a change.

1. Start with Joint Rotations

Sputum bugs are very disturbed in winter. This will increase stiffness and laziness. Also, warm up as needed before practicing due to this cold weather. The need to do joint rotations also increases as the cold increases. Do this in the same order starting from the toes to the heel, knees, buttocks, fingers, wrists, elbows, shoulders, and neck.

2. Focus on Holding Postures

The weather bug is very strong in winter. This error dissipates energy. In addition, the arrival of festivals and pubs during this season also makes it energy scatter as it engages in a variety of activities. Therefore one should focus on grinding yoga practices like Hatha Yoga which gives importance to holding postures. Excessive movement such as running and walking can increase the risk of flatulence. Sun salutations can be done with slow controlled moments.

3. Exercise Yoga at the end of winter

Sputum defect increases in late winters. That is why your yoga practice at this time should be like melting the shroud. Include Heating Yoga postures such as Plank Pose, Headstand, Boat Pose, Warrior Pose in your practice. Exercise yoga and sun salutations can be practiced so as not to be too slow and too fast. Use Ujjayi Breath while doing asanas.

4. Challenge yourself

The human body is very strong during the winter season. Challenge yourself during this time and turn your practice into a vigorous one. Remember, however, that it should always be done in moderation. Overdoing is not always good.

5. Breathing action practice

Breathing verbs such as cranial and bursa can be practiced regularly. You can also include firecrackers and nougat in late winter after you have the proper practice and guidance. These are good for sputum bugs but not for bile bugs. Hence, those with gastric problems should be careful. However, if you have a headache or irritate yourself, stop these practices immediately.

6. Daily Pranayama, Meditation ..

These are inseparable components of holism yoga practice. Practice these as part of your regular routine. Practice pranayama techniques like Equal Breathing, Double Breathing, Alternate Breathing. Please take guidance before doing cooling pranayama like Shitali, Shikari, Chandra Bheda. Meditation does not influence the season, so you can meditate in all seasons.

Making these changes and additions is not a big task, as they follow nature and come naturally to you. All you need to do is give them an outlet and the support they need to keep going.
