Beauty Yoga: Does doing yoga reduce asthma What experts say
Does doing yoga with asthma reduce the problem .. Find out what the research
says ..
Everyone knows that asthma is a disease that affects 300 million people
worldwide. Common symptoms of the disease are shortness of breath, cough,
chest tightness, and shortness of breath.
"Our research suggests that yoga is a solution to the problem of asthma,
leading to a minimal improvement in its symptoms," said Xiao Yang, lead author
of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
This study, published in the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, includes
15 randomized controlled trials. It was attended by 1,048 people. Most of the
trials took place in India, followed by Europe and the US. The reason for more
trials happening in our country is because the number of people doing yoga in
the country is high.
Most of the participants in these trials have been suffering from this asthma
problem for more than six months to 23 years. Of these studies, six studies
examined the effects of breathing alone during yoga, while other studies
assessed the effects of yoga. These other studies include topics such as
breathing, posture, and meditation.
Many people also used the medications they often take while participating in
studies. These studies lasted from two weeks to over four years. Five studies
say that yoga not only improves people's quality of life but also reduces the
problem of asthma. With this, the researchers also showed some evidence of
quality standards.
"However, it is unclear whether yoga has a consistent effect on lung function.
Yoga should reduce the use of asthma medication, or people with asthma should
be aware of the side effects associated with yoga," says researcher Yang.
So .. Asthma sufferers should do yoga happily Avoid the problem
